786. . . What if God was one of us?

Eye was once asked by a student “does God talk to you?” eye responded with a smile “the question is not does God talk to us, the question is do you hear God when SHE is talking! ” God is all-ways speaking/talking to YOU. everything in creation is an ayat (sign) from God. we in the west are often times toooo captivated my the illusion of duality/bling to hear the voice of God in our every day lives. God is the eternal living ONE, Hu has the power of sight, hearing and speech. Eye would not worship a God that did not “talk” to me directly through my heart.

When the prophet Abraham was a young child, he went into the temple and smashed all of the idols/statues, leaving the tallest one standing. when the priest came and saw this, the priest asked him “Hu destroyed all of our gods?” Abraham told him “ask the tall statue?” the priest got angry and said “you know he cant talk.” Abraham replied “why would your worship something that can talk to you?”

Eye recently heard the song “What if God was one of us” for the 1st time and the lyrics surprised me, because eye have seen God, and heard His voice on the bus several times! once on the way to Atlanta for a sufi circle there was a “drunk” man on the back of the bus HU was intoxicated with God. between his sleeping and waking he would talk with himself in the 3rd person about verses from the Bible and the Quran. at one point in his conversation Jesus was talking to Muhammad and the people on the bus where laughing saying this man must be real “drunk.”

What if God was one of us, just a stranger on the bus.

  1. Al Hamdulelah Cheik what a wonderful blog. 🙂 Ameen

  2. Asalaam alaikim with zikr I feel the oneness but the mind still raises questions. If Allah is the true self then we actually pray to tap into a higher part of self or the truth I should say only the duality illusion world has parts. So Allah veiled and forgot himself in us with the mind and ego to experience ? Im still having trouble seeing the true self in wicked people though and what about jinns rapists and killers where is allah in that? Am I seeing allah as self wrong or is it shirk? Wahabbis put much fear in me. So I really pray to my true self I forgot about when I came to earth? I think I get it but if Allah is self what about judgement day wouldnt that be a mystery god seperate from us judging and punishing us? Do other religions teach of self as allah? Please answer each question blessed soul and teacher. Jazakallah

  3. Allah created I and u to experience self and the endless possabilities of the one. Prayer, zikr is not to something outside of self it summoning the self the one within manifesting allah back to consiousness. Man is a vehicle a creation. Allah is the reality. Let the physical shapes dissapear and what is left Allah. We go on the sufi path to return to Allah our self. This is my understanding of what ive read on this blog and the works of ibn arabi. My only question is if I am Allah how can there be a judgement day after death?

  4. Asalaam Alaikum. I have seen Allah in the beautiful woman, the animals, the rain, I have seen Allah in the teacher and the student am I insane? I hear his voice when I speak and see him when I say nothing. I am Allah. There is no I or u. Allah is All. The jinn the “bad” is all a test for self the best advice is to c Allah and nothing else. Praise Allah till you become that which you say. Think of the lord(self/love) everyday. From Allah to Abdullah back to Allah. It was said in a song. “Became a slave to master self”-Common (from the song G.O.D.) This is a blessing that can’t be taught to all because a man who still has ego and says he is god is sure to fall.

  5. I cannot see with the Eye of Love and say there are slobs. The body dresses in its illusions, but the open Eye sees through the disguise and there is the LIGHT!

    • Heart said last night that the fakir has died before dying and the clothes are already dust.

      • Eye told me to put this somewhere safe because i need to re-mind my self when i goes astray … pushing her back to the Eye of Her Heart of Her Truth of Her Light of Her Love of Her Peace of Her Compassion of Her Mercy of Her Kindness of Her Generosity of Her Life of Her Existence.

  6. Peace. Please reply if you have time. If we dont exist and allah our real self then what about jinns angels hellfire ?
